Trailbreaker Cider
We started with apples and never looked back. Starting in 2011 as Whiskey Barrel Cider company in Pullman. Then in 2019 the production facility moved to Liberty Lake and was renamed to Trailbreaker Cider. Trailbreaker Cider has brought a clean crisp cider made fresh with Washington apples since the beginning. Our process is simple. We start with whole apples, fresh-press them into juice at our state-of-the-art production facility in Liberty Lake, and send the juice straight into one of our seven 60-barrel fermenters. That's where the magic happens, where apples become our delicious signature cider.
Engineer Trent Maier developed the recipe for Whiskey Barrel Cider and approached his friend and fellow engineer, Brian Augdahl, about the idea of building a space to create the recipe using local, Washington grown apples. The operation began with one delicious cider and has since developed into the creation of several signature ciders with the taste of Washington apples in every sip.
